Egg
Three dimensional Crystal Eggs come in many different sizes. The egg shape can be used to help shield, heal or strengthen the aura. Crystal Eggs channel the energies of renewal, personal transformation and support new beginnings. Small Eggs could be carried but may be a bit fragile.
Crystal Eggs can be held to meditate with, passed through the aura or placed around the home. Place them in bowls or use a stand like those for crystal spheres. They can be used in the center of crystal grids for protection, healing or new beginnings.
Geode
A geode is contained within an outer form. When opened, it is hollow with many crystals pointing inward. Geodes hold and amplify energy within themselves. Due to their rounded, cave-like shape and numerous terminations, they diffuse the amplified energy, softening it but not neutralizing it, allowing it to flow out slowly if required. They are useful for protection and aid spiritual growth. Geodes assist in breaking addictions and are beneficial for an addictive or overindulgent personality.
Heart
These are any crystal cut into the traditional heart shape symbol. Crystal Hearts represent love, our heart and connect with the energy of our Heart Chakra. These stones can be placed over this chakra in healing work. Small hearts can be carried with you.
Medium to large hearts can be placed around the home, bedroom or within crystal grids. Crystal Hearts can help to attract love or a new relationship. They help heal the heart and emotional wounds. Hearts bring loving energies and help balance relationships.
Standing Point
A crystal point is a sharply-defined pinnacle on either one side, or both sides, of the crystal. Points may be natural or artificially shaped. A single crystal point has a definite faceted, pointed end and the end tends to be ragged or flat. In addition, the points on a crystal foster our ability to focus and gain mental clarity. Simply put, crystal points direct energy inward or outward and enhance the healing properties of a crystal.
Double Tourminated
Double Terminated Quartz crystals have a definite point at at both ends. Some are natural and others artificially shaped. A double termination radiates or absorbs energy at both ends simultaneously, channeling it in two direction at once. A stone of balance, a double termination integrates spirit and matter and can provide a bridge between two energy points.
These crystals are useful in healing as they absorb negative energy and break old patterns, which can assist in overcoming addictions. They can also be used to integrate previously blocked parts of the self.
Pyramid
A pyramid shaped crystal has four sides on a base, but the base itself may be squared off if the crystal is natural rather then the artificially shaped. Naturally occurring pyramid shaped crystals, such as Apophyllite, amplify and then tightly focus energy through the apex and are suitable for holding manifestation programs.
Pyramids can also be used to draw off negative energies and blockages from the Chakras, replenishing with vibrant energy. Artificially shaped pyramids are available in an abundance of materials. They enhance and focus the inherent properties of the crystal.
Skull
These can be very realistic carvings to more symbolic skulls. The most common ones are based on human skulls and they have the properties described here. Crystal Skulls help people connect with their ancestors, guides or other spiritual teachers and masters.
They can also be worked with for healing, protection and channeling guidance or ancient knowledge. Crystal skulls can be held in the hands while meditating, placed around the home or used as part of crystal grids.
Sphere
Spheres are usually shaped from a larger piece of crystal and may well have planes or flaws within them. They emit energy in all directions equally. Used as a window to the past or future, they move energy through time and provide a glimpse of what is to come or what has been, a practice called “scrying”.
Square
A square crystal consolidates energy within its form. It is useful for anchoring intention and for grounding. Naturally occurring square crystals such as Fluorite can also draw off negative energy and transform in into positive.
Wand
A Crystal Wand is a solid piece of crystal that is cut into either a faceted Crystal Point or rounded, these are sometimes called Massage Wands. Crystal wands come in various shapes and sizes now but the idea is still the same. They are mainly used to direct the energies of the crystal into the aura or chakras.
They can also channel other energies such as Reiki through them by an Energy Healer. The rounded end or fattest end of a Crystal Wand is sometimes used to draw off negative energies.
